Expertise in multilingual (online) community management

Progressively, over the last 20 years, we’re constantly interacting with various screens and devices for several everyday life activities. The outbreak of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), which began in the Wuhan region of China in December 2019, has made our interaction with screens even more intensive. By February 2020, cases of COVID-19 had been detected on every continent. Governments were advising citizens to be prepared for an outbreak in their community. We globally experienced closures in schools and universities, postponements or even cancellations of conferences and other organized events, and social distancing.

So we are in front of the following "paradox". Being connected all day long with the world through technology (social media, online communities, video conferences, etc.) but still feel lonely and disconnected. This is mostly because the digital environment that we been living in can actually feel lonely if we aren’t engaging in the right way and listening to each other. This is particularly true when it comes to online communities who are created to bring people with common interests together, but often become inactive and don't achieve the goals.

At SkillsUp Training and Research Services B.V. we are using technology in such way that allows people to connect with each other and other like-minded people who are passionate about a certain topic. We help participants create a sense of belonging where they can share experiences, resources, and discuss the things that matter to them. We also support participants to create much more meaningful relationships, which can be extented even outside this community, through the participation of events and the creation of new projects.

Our multilingual staff is ready to support companies and initiatives to meet the goals of their online communities.

How we do it?

  • Bringing experts in online communication and collaboration as community managers
  • Rewarding participants within the online community
  • Sending personalized messages to participants, which has direct impact to their sense of belonging
  • Responding always in a timely manner to keep the engagement high.

We can manage online communities in Greek, Spanish, Catalan, English and Dutch language.
